Sometimes when that alarm goes off at 3:30am, literally the only thing that gets me out of bed is thinking, “Maybe today I’ll get a pretty sunrise shot for the ol’ blog.”
Continuing my run of airport related food posts, Heidi’s in Denver has what must be the best Reuben west of the Mississippi. I plan my entire day around eating this sandwich if I’ve got a break in Denver, and oh man do I kill a lot of time in this airport. It’s in the sticks of the B concourse, out of the way but worth the trip. Just keep walking towards the increasing gate numbers and you can thank me later.
After waiting out a 2 hour ground stop in Duluth, my Fort Wayne turn canceled so I found a quiet place in Terminal 2 to watch the sunset. Leaving for Springfield in an hour and then drinks with username aerodromeinsight. Today sucked but it still beats sitting at a desk.
I’ve got 3 days off and I’m going home for the first time since Christmas Day. It’ll be nice to decompress a little and get away from the constant stress of training, if only for a few days.
2011: The year in airplanes (and airports).
Hey, I work here!
Coincidentally I took this picture 3 days ago standing right underneath the ass of that airplane. Well maybe not THAT airplane… (fuckyeahairports/lazarocasanova)
