gotta ask what the middle one says, “and maintain 9,000 and I hate….” haha

Valid question. Each of these exercises are trips that we simulate on this little FMS program on the computer. They come complete with a flight release, weather, weight and balance data, etc. The worksheet with the checkmarks is kind of the task list you do when you actually fake fly the thing, complete with instructions from air traffic control as the flight progresses. We’ve done like 15 of them over the last few weeks. This one was from Fargo to Denver and I guess the lesson they were teaching was how to switch back and forth and load multiple approaches in the box (as well as making sure you run the landing data numbers for multiple runways) because the scenario switches runways multiple times.

Anyway, the quote was the Denver approach controller and it said, “SKW6304, descend and maintain 9,000 and I hate to do this to you, but change of plans last time I promise; expect ILS runway 35R.”
